Greensferry Overpass Project, Post Falls
*UPDATE: Spoke with Brad Marshall with JUB Engineers Inc. The Greensferry Overpass will have 5 ft Class II Bike Lanes in addition to a 1 ft curb for a total of a 6 ft protected riding space for bicycles. A big THANK YOU to the City leaders of Post Falls and to all those behind the scene that helped make this happen.
UPDATE: (1/21/14) The Lakes Hwy District Commissioners and staff have done a nice job by creating an accessible "Transportation Projects" page.
*Thank you, Commissioners! (& Bonnie!)
NOTE: Chip Seal Project - Summer 2014
Lakes Highway District will begin our chip seal program beginning the week of July 16th on District roads as outlined below. The process involves:
1. Chip sealing the road.
2. Sweeping the road.
3. Fog sealing the road
To help the District minimize the inconvenience, please have all your vehicles moved from your road during the week we are in your area. We also ask that you turn off any landscape water that may impact the roadway during this process and to keep your speed down on the newly sealed surface.
The District appreciates your cooperation during this process and if you have any questions, please contact the District Office at (208)772-7527. Thank you!!
February 3, 2014 RE: Prairie Ave.
BikeCdA made a proposal to the PF Highway District for the change from the existing conventional bike lanes to buffered bike lanes. Because of the higher motor vehicle speeds and the traffic volume on this stretch of roadway, this is the perfect application for the buffered lanes, providing a greater degree of safety for the bicyclist. (Buffered Bike Lanes)
*Thank you Post Falls for making these items so easily accessible!
City of Coeur d’Alene (*Pending)
*We hope to make this connection with the City very soon. If you are a CdA City leader and reading this, please help us make this connection. Contact us at Team@BikeCdA.com
Let's make these projects transparent so the community can be involved.
